Twine Ball Day 2003, Part 7
Maybe part 6 of the saga had you wondering 'why not use real tractors?' Because that would tear up the 'track' too much. The track, of course, being the street through town. The white lines in the photo designate the pull course, and fans just line up on the curb, inches away from the row of carefully spaced out fire extinguishers. The announcer also takes an unholy glee in explaining just how much the insurance for this kind of event costs, and so could the spectators please be sure to keep their feet all the way on the sidewalk and 'be ready to move quickly'.
