August 25, 2003MN State FairThere's something special in the air. Can you smell it? It's the smell of candy bars, being dipped in batter, deep fried to a golden brown, and topped with powdered sugar. It's the smell of horse manure, baking on a 100 degree sidewalk. It's the smell of cheese curds and mullets. Everywhere. Yes, there is nothing quite like the MN state fair. And in the specialness of the state fair, there is an even more special place. This hallowed ground, open 9am to 9pm, houses the best part of the state fair, the crop art. Behold!
